My weight jumped quite a bit this month as well. I gained about 7-8 pounds. The doctor said most women have one month where that happens though so its not a big deal. I hadn't gained a lot before that so I'm still on track, but it made me nervous because I don't want to gain to much. I'm hoping to stay right around the 25 pound mark if possible. Of course I'm not going to stop eatting or anything crazy, but that would be the ideal weight gain for me, and its right within the range the doctor recommended.

I'm shooting for 35 total cuz that's what I gained with Jack and was able to lose it within 6 months. I'm at 24 now so if I take it a little easier on the sweets for the rest of the time I should be good to go :o)

I was slightly overweight, or at least at the high end of normal when I started so the doctor said 25 was good for me. 35 sounds pretty good too though. A lot of our friends and family gained 60-70 pounds when they were pregnant. They are all harping at me about starving the baby, but I seriously eat a lot.

Yea when I was pregnant with Jack people would always say "oh you need to eat more than that, you're eating for 2 now" even when I was just a few weeks along. I was like "hello! The baby's not even the size of my fist....I'm not technically eating for 2 so no need to gorge myself."

Even 7 months pregnant....the baby doesn't need like a whole extra sandwich. If I went by the mentality that I'm "eating for 2" this whole time....then yea, I'd gain about 70 pounds :P

Wow! 10lbs ... good job. :P

I won't even get into how much weight I gained with Rosemary. Let's just say it was A LOT.

Joel and I have been making smoothies with milk, frozen yogurt, and strawberry. Maybe you can do that instead of going cold turkey on the malts. :-)

I know! I was really surprised actually. The malts I've been eating this month replaced bowls of ice cream so it's not like it was a huge change....guess it's cuz more ice cream goes into a malt :P

Ooooh....those sound good...I was actually thinking of switching over to frozen yogurt :P

you look great!!! i wouldn't worry about the weight :-)

eat what your baby tells you to. deal with the extra pounds later. nursing helped me take it off really really fast.

I'm not too worried about it. Just surprised at the jump. I gained 35 with Jack so if I cut back a little I think I can stay near that number by July :o)

I remember having a 10-pound gain one month when I was pregnant with Brendan. I've been doing okay this go-round, but I also started heavier. :(

You'll hit a point where you won't want to eat as much, too...there's just no room in there!!!

It's funny cuz in the last few weeks I've actually woken up in the middle of the night hungry! I haven't gotten up to eat but am just feeling hungrier at all hours lately. I still don't feel like I've eaten more this last month than previous months but I'm blaming the malts :P
