This will be a post where I complain a lot. You're gonna have to deal or skip it.
My allergies are KILLING ME!! Yesterday they were AWFUL. I sneezed all damn day, my eyes were itching and watery and I had a massive, throbbing headache that came and went but never totally went. I'm too much of space cadet to have thought of asking Jared to pick me up something on his way home. I'm not even sure what I can take. I'll call my doc at 8. My mom said she would bring me something. Thank god! Thanks to my allergies....my asthma has also been being a prick.

Jack had a rough night. That means I had a rough night. He woke up a few times and the last time was at about 3 and he was not falling back to sleep. I'm not sleeping on the effin floor anymore so I was sitting next to his bed trying to get him to fall asleep. My back was hurting, my legs were going numb and I was about to piss my skivs. He kept seeming to be asleep but the slightest movement or noise and his head would pop up. GRRR! Finally I got up to pee and came back to him having a meltdown. Sat with him a bit more and then said screw this and brought him back to bed with me. It took about another hour before he was finally out. He burrowed into my back quite a bit but at least we were sleeping.

I'm so freaking tired lately. I go to bed at like 9 and get up between 6 and 7 and I desperately want a nap every afternoon and every early evening. Granted, I get up to pee 2-3 times a night and I toss and turn non stop so of course I'm not getting the most restful sleep at night. Jack is completely against my relaxing. He seriously gets mad when I sit down! He wants non-stop playing. I napped both days this weekend and yesterday I really really wanted to nap while Jack and Brooke were napping but I guess there was a miscommunication between myself and Kim. I thought Lizzie was coming at 1:45 but they got here at noon....just as I was laying down :(  DOH!! She's not coming until 2:15 today so I should have no problem napping. Although, for some reason Jack only napped for an hour and a half yesterday. Brooke napped longer than him. That's unheard of.

My legs have been achey lately. I started getting shooting pains in my right leg yesterday. Awesome. My back hurts after the slightest bit of cleaning, bending, standing, anything. I don't want to do anything but then I think of all these things that I want to get done. I could save them for the weekend and have Jared help me but I don't want evey weekend full of chores. Neither of us are really in the mood to do them after dinner and lately Jack can barely finish his dinner because he's so excited to "go play daddy" or "climb on daddy". He wants to play with his dad all evening and I just want to lay down all evening. That and I like to clean the kitchen floor, do laundry, vacuum, and clean the bathroom like every 2 days.....so letting it sit for the weekend would drive me NUTS.

Oh yea and the best part.....once I get some allergy meds in me....even if they're non-drowsy......I'll be GOOD FOR NUTHIN!

Ok....I'm done now :o)

Bless your heart. I'm sorry that you're not getting any rest and you feel crappy.

Maybe if you can get Jack to skip his afternoon nap, he'll sleep better at night? Keep him up a little later, too.

I remember so well, coming home from work, and trying to get my toddlers to let me nap, while I was pregnant. It was difficult, to say the least.

You know, don't feel guilty to pop in a dvd, and have the kid's watch it, while you lay on the couch and dose. I don't think that's being a bad mom at all. I had to do that many a day, when they were little.

(((((hugs)))))
I hope you have a nice day.

Eek....he'd be a total bear if he skipped his nap....I don't think we're ready for that yet. It's weird because some nights he doesn't wake up at all. I don't know what his deal was last night.

Well, I'm no opposed to napping while Jack watches tv....but I won't do that when other people's kids are here....unless of course they're napping too. I'm a very light sleeper so I wake up to the slightest sound. I definitely have days where they do their own thing moreso than others :)

Thank you!

Hey Kiki, I'm probably going to get kicked out of the AP community for saying this: but do you ever let Jack cry it out? I'm TOTALLY against letting little babies cry it out, but I think Jack is old enough. I don't know if you remember how we got Rosemary to start sleeping so well?

Actually, I think I'm going to send you an email because this might get long. :P You can obviously ignore my advice if you want. But what we did for Rosemary worked so well, and we never had to let her cry alone for more than 10 minutes.

Also .... my allergies were SO bad when I was pregnant. I feel for you.

Ha....I think I'd be kicked out of the AP community for a few things too. I did let him just cry himself to sleep the other day and Jared did for his nap on Saturday too but that's with us in the room. I've definitely been thinking lately about just leaving the room and letting him cry because I agree, I think he's old enough. We really NEED him to be able to go to sleep without us there....and SOON.

My allergies have been so mild the last few years....I definitely think this is somewhat pregnancy related...as far as how bad they are.

My guess is it HAS to be pregnancy related. Because my spring allergies haven't even kicked in yet. And springtime is the worst for me. :P

I just sent you a very long email. I tried to be short. I failed.

Poor thing. I took Clartin while pg with Harry and that helped a bit.
Is there any indoor pool that you can take Jack swimming? When I need Harry to pass out, its off to the pool. The kid sleeps like a rock.

I called my doc and they gave me a list of things. My mom had some Benadryl and Sudafed at her house that she brought over. If those don't help...I'll try Claritin.

I don't have a car unless Jared's working from home so I can't go anywhere :( I'm not sure if the Y has open swim at all during the day.....I'll have to check into that.

I'm going to take the kids to the park this afternoon and let them burn some energy :o)

Are you allowed to take Benadryl and Sudafed??? I was told those were an absolute no. But maybe that's just early in the pregnancy? Claritin helped for me while I was pregnant, but the thing that stinks about that is that it takes a few days to really work.

That's what the doc said to take. I think they're bad in early pregnancy.

Before I was pregnant, no allergy meds worked for me. They all just made me drowsy but gave me no relief. I tried everything and even went to a specialist. Eventually I just gave up and fortunately they didn't bother me as much the last few years. Maybe they'll give me some relief now.....I'm willing to try.

Benadryl and Sudafed ALWAYS make me drowsy. But Claritin seems to be okay for me.

So many times, I've laid on the couch, put on Treehouse or Nick Jr and passed out for 30-60 minutes. And even if the kids wake you for a min, it's still better than nothing. Even just laying down helps some. If you're scared you will sleep through it, set the alarm on a cell or something for 45-60 minutes...just in case. I've done it tons. And it helps. Just make sure Jackson isn't hungry and doesn't need a change. And you should be good for a short time lol.

*hugs*
