fairly miserable, What the F, spring w/ ladybug, virgo, I crap rainbows, spring, world's best mom, housework, awesome, crabby, kids chewed through their straps, i grow people, i'm not crazy i'm just pregnant, sun w/ shades, shhhh, big daisy, big blue flower, daisy, monkey, waiting for keira, daisies, i love spring, jackson, waiting for keira 2, girl in field, no place like home, momma's boy, fuck, pregnant pic, ice cream, flip flops, spatulas, i heart my bump, heart, purple flowers, swing, rainy day, poor me, baby wants chocolate, there's a pea in my pod
Well today started way too early. Jack woke up at 5 and I just kept putting him back in his bed and he just kept getting out. Jared tried getting him back to sleep for a bit too and it just wasn't happening. He went to bed easily and didn't wake up at all before 5 but still....I wanted to sleep a bit later than that.

Sunday we ended up going for a very short bike ride. Jack did not want to ride in the buggy at first but once we got going he was fine. My mom wanted us to meet her friend Dawn and her little redhead. I forgot the name but Dawn was the only one home when we got there. She's pregnant too and due in like 2 weeks. She asked if I'd be interested in watching her baby this fall for a few hours in the mornings! I said possibly :o)

Then we went to Rosemary's birthday party. It was fun but we weren't dressed warm enough. I think the temp dropped 10 degress on our way there. Fortunately I packed pants and a long sleeved shirt for Jack. He looked pretty cute in his new sandals. At first he hated them and cried and just stood there and wouldn't even walk in them. But then I kept saying how cool they were and he got over it. He was even running in them before long. He took a couple of diggers at the park and scraped up his knee a bit but he was fine. He was pretty excited about the little wiener dog at the party. He had fun running around with Rosemary and her cousin Grayson.

Sunday night he slept pretty bad. He went to bed easily but woke up at 1 I think. I was trying to get him back to sleep for close to an hour and but it wasn't working. He just kept sitting up in bed and crying. He didn't try to get out of bed but still.....I think maybe he didn't feel good. Jared spent about an hour and a half trying after I did. It was a long night.

Yesterday morning my mom and I took Jack and Brooke to Como Zoo. It was a really nice day but kind of chilly in the wind. Jack and I both got sun but probably could have brought sweatshirts. I'm not really on the ball with dressing appropriately these last few days. I was really wanting Jack to ride the carousel but it's closed on Mondays for repairs I guess :( We walked around the zoo for like 3 hours! Jack really liked it. We haven't been to the zoo since last fall. I was telling him yesterday morning all the animals we were going to see that day and I'm sure he thought I was talking about in his books or something and not in real life :P Once we got there and saw a real live pink flamingo he was like "whoa!". The wolves were right up the fence pacing and howling. That was pretty cool. The tiger was pacing and kind of close to the fence too. He really liked seeing the monkey's and the gorillas and one even had a baby! It was really cute. I really want to take him to the Minnesota Zoo soon because they have a lot more animals. That would be a lot more walking though. We'll see.

We got home about 2 and all napped until almost 4. Jack wasn't ready for bed last night until like 10. Today we'll be napping earlier since we got up so freakin early. Hopefully Brooke will be ok with that.

Friday my Aunt Lisa and Uncle Gerry from Hibbing have a funeral to go to so I'll be watching my 4 cousins in addition to Jack, Brooke and Rosemary. I'm not sure how late they'll be here. I'll also have Lizzie and Charlotte in the afternoon! I'm not sure about their ages but I think my cousin Lucia is 8, Liv and Liisa are 5, and Leif is a few months younger than Jack. I think it'll be fun for Jack to have a boy over to play with. The older girls will be a big help so I'm not worried about handling that many kids. They're not coming over until about 10:30/11 so that'll be right when we have lunch and then Jack, Rosemary and Leif will nap. The other 4 will have a quiet time in the living room and maybe we'll have a movie for them. Once all the kids are up, I'm hoping we can be outside :o)

Glad that the birthday party was fun, and the trip to the zoo.

You are going to be biz-zy, watching all of those kid's! LOL

Holy cow! Your Friday seems extremely busy!!!

For being a free zoo...Como Park/Zoo isn't so bad. Minnesota Zoo is nice and all, but it sure is pricey! There should be free days for the Carousel, too -- once/month during the summer...you'd have to check their website for the schedule.

Busy day on Friday! I will actually be dropping Rosemary off on Friday and I am not sure about the time ... I know I won't be early, but we'll see if I'm on time or not. I also might pick her up early - but, again, I'm just going to have to play it by ear. I hope that's okay.

Rosemary slept terribly Sunday night and last night, too. Last night was better than Sunday, but still really rough. Rosemary also woke up at 5 determined to get up (really cranky, but determined). I worked for a long time to get her back to bed and then crankily said to Joel, "I'm not sure why this is my problem." He kindly said, "It isn't." and got up. And I'm not sure what he did, but he got her back to sleep and she slept until 8.

I think I was getting cranky because I was thinking about how Joel is going to be gone Wed-Fri and I get to do all of this myself. And I don't get to take naps when she does. Sigh.

Also ... Matt and Tara have a membership at the MN Zoo and they go there a couple times a week. I really want one and think I'm going to ask my family to go in on one for my birthday. I love it because they can go whenever they want and don't have to feel bad about spending so much money, but only staying for a couple of hours. Rosemary and I went with them once because they get a free guest (and kids under 2 are free). It was cold out, so we just looked at the indoor exhibits, but it was a lot of fun. Rosemary loved it.

That's fine. I just hope she's ok with the extra kids here.

Jack was asking for his daddy this morning when I was trying to get him back to sleep! He quieted down once Jared took over but still didn't go back to sleep.
I swear he does better for him lately.

A membership to the MN zoo would be awesome. Although, we have a membership to the Children's Museum now and we've only been once this year :/ If I had my own car we'd go more often. Now it's getting to be that time of year when there's stuff going on every weekend too.

Id definately have to agree, and say that 5am is entirely too early to start the day!!! Im SO GLAD that Aiden is back to sleeping at least until the hour of 7am!!! I cant deal before 730 in the morning!! And even then its rough for me!! LMAO!!!

LOL @ Jack and his sandals!!!! I can totally picture it! Of course, thats easy for me, since thats how Aiden was with walking in the sand on the beach without his shoes! heeee! Glad you had fun at the party and the zoo!! I really need to get Aiden to the Zoo one of these days - hes never been yet!!

Holy - thats alot of kids on Friday!!! YIKES!! GOOD LUCK!!!

He's been doing so good with the new routine that it's hard to get frustrated when he's having a rough night. I'm not sure what the early wake-up was about....I think maybe he was hungry since he didn't really eat his dinner last night.

We went a few times last year but I was really excited to go this year because I know it's so much more fun for him. Last time we went I wore him in my mei tai pretty much the whole time so he could see. This time he asked for "uppies" a few times but it's just too much to pick him up a lot these days :P

Yea it does. Overall, he's going to bed very well....it's just the wake-ups that suck. Today I put him in his toddler bed at nap time and he didn't even try to get up, didn't cry, just rolled over and faced the wall and went to sleep! I even left the room before he was asleep.

My little one keeps waking up at 6:30 a.m. Way to early to me, 7 is okay...6:30 a.m. no thank you, and no way to 5 a.m. I feel for you!! I wish we could store sleep when we needed it) I guess that is what coffee is for : )

6:30 I can handle....5 is bit tough :/ If we sleep too late...naps run too late and that just doesn't work so well with kids coming over every afternoon.

Possibly...I'm not sure how late my cousins will be here but Lizzie comes at 2:15 and Charlotte at 3:30....It's possible :P
I'll definitely be taking pics :o)

Yea...I think it'll be fun though. Forecast says rain now but I don't trust the forecast this far out :P

I was napping nicely today until Rob called. I said "this is a napping house where everyone is napping!" from Jack's napping house book? Not sure if you recall it...

I do recall it, I like that book. Grannie doesn't even care that everyone is napping on her...or that her bed is broken in the end...

Yea I'd definitely not tolerate anyone sleeping on me and then breaking my bed!

Holy Smokes that's a lotta kids! But you could probably make sandwiches ahead for lunch, etc, etc Kid Party at Kiki's house. You can do it! Looks like Como is updated. I saw the new green houses last summer but don't recognize the scene of your pictures.. Do they still have the kiddie ride park? I know Max would love it. Its cool to hear Jack talk in full sentences*

Oooh that's a good idea!

Yea they were doing quite a bit of construction while we were there too. They're re-doing the polar bear section and a huge area nex to that. Not sure what their plans are. They have the rides but they weren't open while we were there. Jack went on a couple last year though :o)

I'm SO glad their building a better polar bear area! That little spot he/she had was depressingly small!!! Was the area of your pics like a big courtyard? Or the front of Como? Glad the little rides are still there.

It's right after you enter...you go outside again and there's a big area in front of the pink flamingo's.
