Today's the day that I have 8 kids coming over. Lizzie and Charlotte aren't here until the afternoon but I'll have 6 kids in addition to Jack for the better part of the day. So naturally Jack decided last night was a good night to attempt an all night tantrum fest. We took turns dealing with him for like an hour and a half and then Jared fell asleep in there with him and that was the last we heard of him. Booger.

I'm making mac n cheese w/ cut up turkey dogs for lunch. I already cut up a package of turkey dogs and peeled several oranges. Thank you Warren for all the fruit!!!!!!! I even have enough chairs/booster seats/highchairs all set up around the table so they can all eat together.

The forecast for today still doesn't include rain. Hallelujah!!!!

You know you must be the lunch master with having to take care of all those kids. What are the easiest meals you make that the kids love?

Well some days they eat better than others. Usually I only have Jack and Brooke for lunch but I have Rosemary too on Fridays. Today I just happen to be watching my 4 cousins too!

Rosemary will usually only eat mac n cheese, turkey/cheese roll-ups, string cheese, crackers, cheerios, raisins, banana, toast, grilled cheese and sometimes yogurt. She probably eats more variety at home.

Jack will eat mac n cheese, turkey/cheese roll-ups, raviolis, any kind of sandwich really, grilled cheese, tuna w/ lil mayo and cottage cheese and cut up pickles, pickles, fruit, carrots, celery, raisins, yogurt, string cheese, crackers, spaghetti, soup, pureed veggies, applesauce, jello, hot dogs, cereal, potatos, fish sticks, chicken nuggets, toast, eggs and there's probably more but that's all I can think of right now. Some days he eats a ton at all 3 meals and others not so much.

Brooke will eat almost anything.

She does eat more variety at home! But it still makes me laugh to read that because those are definitely her staples. Are turkey/cheese roll-ups just turkey and cheese rolled up - or is there more to it than that?

Other staples that you might want to try (not that you need to, I'm very happy with what she eats at your house) are corn, green beans, peas - Any kind of cooked vegetable. We have lots of frozen vegetables in our freezer, cause she loves the stuff. I'm super excited for the farmers market, so I can start buying the stuff fresh.

Good luck today with 8 kids! I can be somewhat flexible today, so if you're having trouble give me a call and I can come help, or at least get Rosemary.

Turkey/cheese roll-ups are just that. I didn't realize she'd eat cooked vegetables. Jack's not a huge fan. He'll eat the baby food veggies still and baked potato and cold carrots and celery and tomatoes but not too much more than that unless it's mixed in a stew or soup and even then only sometimes.

So far it's been going good. My cousins and Brooke all got here at 10 and we were already outside. We played outside for about a half hour and then went in. Lunch went smoothly and naps started out kind of tricky but now it's going well. Rosemary's been napping since 11:45.
We'll all go back outside once everyone wakes up. I already got a few cute pics :O)
