Jared woke me up this morning to tell me Jack had woken up and come down stairs and woke him up. O_o WTF???? How'd he get out of his room??????? He woke up one time last night and I went in and put him back in his bed and he was back to sleep shortly after that. I guess it's possible I didn't close his door all the way but I just don't know if that's the case. His door would have clicked loudly into place had it been slightly out of place when I was shutting it. It's happened many times and I've cursed myself for not shutting it more quietly and risking waking the boy. I can't imagine he can work a doorknob already though. I know he can get the screen door open but his bedroom door????? Holy crap. If that's the case.......that's a new development I'm not sure I like.

Putting him to bed last night SUCKED!!!! He was hating it! He didn't seem like he was hating being in his big boy bed so I'm not totally sure what his problem was but he laid in his bed and cried himself to sleep. I was sitting right next to him. I offered him my thumb a few times but he pushed it away. I sat there so long my leg went numb and my back was starting to hurt so I ended up laying down on the floor. That's when he sat up and tried to get out of his bed. Which confirms that if I were to have left the room....he surely would have got out of bed and been crying even harder. I laid him back down and he stayed laying down but kept crying. Half hour of crying. Good times. I think maybe he had a stomach ache since he hadn't pooped all day. Who knows. I even was trying to keep him up a bit later in hopes that he would poop....doing bicycles with his legs like when he was a baby. Eventually, I had to put him to bed. He definitely had a ton of poop this morning though :/ I hope he didn't spend too much time with it in his diaper.

We went to The Eagle's Nest yesterday with Barb and Brooke. If I had laser beams for eyes....I totally would have incinerated a little boy yesterday. There was a big kid area and a 3 and under area. We spent our time in the 3 and under area of course. There was lots of cool stuff and Jack was having fun. He was kind of playing with this little boy and sort of following him around. I would guess he was maybe 4. Then all of a sudden the kid ran across the room.....then ran back and shoved Jack on his way by. I was like ok.....I'll be keeping an eye on that kid from now on. Then a bit later I see the kid throwing books way up in the air. Mind you, there's babies crawling around this area too. Where's this kid's mom? Nowhere to be found. One of the books lands in this little area that you have to climb through a hole to get in. It was like a big square panel with a circle cut out and kids would climb through the circle hole. Jack's peering in to see where the book landed.....and the bottom of the circle is probably at his hips.....that kid comes up behind him and starts trying to push him through the hole!!! By the time I get over there....he's successfully pushed Jack through this hole and Jack is bawling. I grabbed the kid by the arm and said "HEY! You DO NOT push!! That is NOT ok!!!!" He looked a bit startled and ran off. Little prick. His mom was nowhere to be found and didn't see it. Nice. So it took me a bit to calm Jack down but then he was off having fun again.

He discovered this other sort of big tunnel that I kinda think shouldn't have been in the 3 and under area. If he were to have gone all the way in and then decided he hated it.....It woulda been a pretty lame time for me to crawl in after him. Fortunately he didn't get too far in before he decided he hated it. But at this point....6 big kids (we're talking like over 7 years old) push past me and pile into the tunnel barreling past Jack. This really helps the situation. Then they decided they don't like the tunnel either (hard to believe.....it's in the 3 and under section ya tools) and barrel back out. Finally I'm able to get him out. More calming down. He's pretty clingy at this point and losing interest in playing at this place anymore and occasionally asking to go "bu-byes".

Then he's sitting in this fire truck sort of box thing that you can sit in and read books. It's near the window and all along the windows are a carpeted shelf. The truck had 2 seats in it and Jack kept climbing up on the seat to sit on the edge of the truck with his feet on the seat. I was about to make him sit down on the seat and he fell :/ Wedged himself in half .....sandwich syle....in between the truck and the carpeted shelf thing ...... getting carpet burn on the back of his neck. Good grief. So then we decided to pack it up and go out to the snack area where there's tables and have some carrots and crackers. Poor kid. Not exactly the day we had planned.

I was a bit annoyed with how many big kids kept coming into the 3 and under area. Jack was in the ball pit for a bit and was kind of ok with it. I was about to take a pic and realized my battery was dead. I went over to my purse and swapped it with a charged battery and by the time I get back a couple of big kids had piled into the ball pit and Jack was not happy. He had no interest in going back in there after that. Even when it was just Brooke in there. I did get one pic of him in this Little Tikes tree house thing that was pretty cool:

I have Rosemary today and then Lizzie and Charlotte this afternoon. Looks like we're gonna be stuck inside today. I might let Jack and Rosemary watch Jack's Curious George movie.

I vacuumed the living room and swept and mopped last night after dinner so all I have to do today is laundry.....and maybe wipe down the bathroom. We'll see how I feel. I feel kind of sore. I did some cutting for my mom yesterday morning for about 2 hours. My knee has been kind of hurting ever since. It better snap out of it before the 7.5K tomorrow!

We watched Survivor last night. Holy blindsides!! We also watched Grey's Anatomy. Why is George living with Meredith's sister????
We also watched The Real Housewives of NYC reunion. I hate Ramona. Ugh. She acts like a child. And she's dilusional. And Alex and Simon.......good grief.....they're dilusional too. Yea right they were misrepresented! They're totally all about social climbing! Weirdos. Why was he even on there???? He's not a housewife!

Edit:  We do have some of those safety door knob cover child-proof things. I just wasn't thinking we'd need to pull them out yet :P

Jack successfully slept in his toddler bed all night! Hooray!!! He did wake up once but when I went in there he was still in his bed :O) I just told him to lay back down and sat next to the bed and gave him my thumb. He went back to sleep quickly and not another peep until 6:30. Yay!! 
Hopefully this sticks....then we can actually move some of his toys up to his room and free up more space down here. That would be nice because in another 2 months...we 're going to need more baby stuff around. We'll especially need room for the bassinet, the bouncer and the swing. I'm 29 weeks today!!!

Yesterday I did some cutting for my mom during Jack's nap and then in the afternoon I had Lizzie and we played outside again. Jack had been asking to play outside all freakin day! We'll prolly go to my mom's this morning so I can do more cutting. She needs to make like 150 neckties by Monday! This afternoon we're thinking of going to The Eagle's Nest with Barb and Brooke. No, it's not a bar. It's an indoor play area for kids. We've never been there. Hopefully it's pretty cool and not too packed.

I tried to take some pictures of our Vegas Wedding Pictures for pinkpiper222 bu t it didn't work so well. We don't have any of the pictures on a disc. So, pictures of pictures was the best I could do and I couldn't get them to not be blurry. I'll try again later. 
I'm currently boiling some chicken so I can de-bone it for chicken salad. It's really stinking up the joint as I loaded it up with seasonings. Jack has a check-up with his surgeon today at 1:30. See how his downstairs has healed and whatnot. It would have been nice to meet Jared for lunch first but I think that would be cutting things to close as Jack will probably nap until 12:30ish pending what time he actually goes down. We got up at 6 so he should be ready to crash by 9:30-10. Barb and Brooke might come over this morning to hang out. We'll see. They might end up getting here right about the time Jack wants to nap so that might not pan out. 
I made cream cheese stuffed french toast and bacon for dinner last night. YUM! I made Jack some mini french toast with a loaf of french bread (how fitting). I made him 1 regular and 1 cream cheese stuffed. He CHOWED it!   
He was a walkin fool yesterday! We practiced A LOT. I'd have him stand and hold a chair or the table and then go to the other side of the room and he would walk to me. Sometimes I'd get to my post and he would have already started and would be like halfway to me already! I got him to walk to a few things other than me also like his musical chair or his lego table (probably only because elmo was sitting on top of it). One time he was walking to me and started to lose his balance but Daisy was standing there and he used her to stabalize....lol :o)

Jack, Daisy, and I went for a nice hour long walk with my mom this morning. We saw Barb and Brooke taking a round-about way to their credit union too. Then we went back to my mom's and she made us a big breakfast. Now the little angel face is napping and I'm drinking a cold refreshing brewski. Other things I plan on doing today: laundry, vacuuming, and washing the kitchen floor. Go ahead....tell me I don't deserve this beer :P

Jack and I went on an adventure today to Aamodt's Apple Farm with Barb and Brooke. It was pretty fun. We thought there would be pony rides but when we got there, there were no ponies to be found :/ There were goats, sheep, and a llama. We fed them some feed and pet them. They were really gentle. Then there was a little area filled with little John Deere tractors, trikes, and 4-wheelers. It was fun. I got a couple of videos. The first one is right before Jack decided to try to get off his 4-wheeler. I stopped taking the video and dove to catch him. My hand seriously caught his head inches before it hit the ground! Then we went and picked apples off the trees. Jack was an instant pro. We got some other apple goodies and went back to my mom's for lunch.

Jack's photo shoot on Thursday went ok. First, we accidentally stole someone else's appointment. I thought I had made the appt for 10. Turns out it was 2. Oops. We showed up at 10, told them we had an appt, they took us into a room. Never asked our name. Halfway through our shoot the real 10 o'clock appt shows up. They were like 15 minutes late so serves em right....lol
The chick that was working with us did not impress me. She had a few little props that I guess were meant to make kids laugh and smile. Well they did no such thing for Jack yet she continued to use them. We had brought some of his toys from home that were successfully making him smile and laugh when Jared or I held/shook/squeaked them. Then she'd get annoyed that he was laughing/smiling at us and not at her!?! Even though I had tried handing our toys to her to use and she'd use them once and then hand them back and go back to her POS toys. Yea....that's logic. Those clearly aren't working....lets keep using them. She also had this piece of cardboard she was using to waft at him because the wind made him smile.......it also messed up his hair. ARGH! She saw me keep fixing it after each time she used it so you'd think she'd get them hint and stop using it. Nope. Used it a few more times. I was like great.....none of those shots are getting purchased....nice work lady. Then we got home and realized we accidentally stole a big blue rubber ducky from the shoot. Oooops. I really don't feel all that bad though. That lady sucked. She also kept trying to shove the spendy packages down out throat after we made it clear we weren't wanting to purchase a ton of pictures. Oy.

Saturday was a busy day. I had my new employee orientation/training from 9-12. 4 different people's cell phones went off during this training. 2 people's cell phones went off multiple times and they answered them!!! only to say "I can't talk right now". Do people really need to be told to turn their phones off at those types of things?!?! Morons.
Then after that I went home and we got ready to go to a welcome home party for Jared's cousin who just got back from Iraq. She said temperatures over there on days like we've had lately would be around 130-140!!! Yikes!
After that we went to Nan & Pop's for a bbq because my uncle Gerry and my cousins Lucia, Liisa, and Liv were in town.
After that we went home and eventually Rob and Brooke came over and then my mom and then Barb once she got off work. They stayed up playing poker. I went to bed at like 11. It had been a long day. Sunday morning we were all just hanging out and Barb kept putting Jack behind his walker or his dump truck and then he would just take off across the living room!! He's getting so good. He'll be walking very soon. I took a few videos but they're crap so we'll have to get some new ones.

I'm so sick of Jameka on Big Brother. I can't believe the things she says/wears and then has the audacity to turn around and chastise other people in the house for not being "christians". Gimme a break lady. It sucks that Jessica won HOH....I DO NOT LIKE the LNC. We're seriously starting to root for Jen!! How crazy is that? Jen and Daniele annd Evel Dick. I don't really like Evel Dick but I gotta say....I like how easily he gets under people's skin....especially Jameka's. Haha!! He over does it and it's not necessary but it's definitly effective. I can't wait to see the LNC turn on Eric when they realize what Daniele and Dick have been trying to tell them all all week. MwaaHaaHaaaa!

Well, time to get ready. Jack and I are going to Teddy Bear Park with Barb and Brooke today. Here's a cute pic of my 2 favorite guys :o)

We had fun at Como yesterday. I carried Jack in his carrier for a while but that got to be pretty hot. After looking at all the animals we took Jack and Brooke on a few rides. First up were these little boats. You can kind of see in the background there's 2 guys sawing up some wood. I think they waited until the ride started to fire up the saw. Not sure if that's what scared the kids or not. Jack was having fun but Brooke was crying in just a short time. By the time the girl had stopped the ride Jack was crying too but his boat had stopped right by the guys running the saw......after that we found rides that we could go on with them.

Yesterday Jack and I went for a bike ride with my mom in the morning. It was already pretty hot out at 10am. We biked up to the gazebo and then decided to go over to the water and get our feet wet. Jack loved it. I guess there's a dog beach right there so now that I know, I can take Daisy up there. Then we biked back and on our way stopped to play in the fountain in downtown. Jack loved that too.

We're going to Como Zoo this morning with Barb and Brooke.

I'm trying to decide if Jack and I want to go to Lake Vermillion in 2 weeks. My uncle Gerry and aunt Lisa are having my mom, grandparents, and aunt Cathy up to their cabin (I think it's Lisa parents cabin). It would be Sunday the 22nd until Tuesday the 24th. I think it would be fun but that's like a 5-6 hour drive for what'll end up being like a day and a half up there. So, I'm still hemming and hawing about it.
If I do decide to go, I want to get Jack something like this for the lake:

We've also been invited to Barb's aunt and uncle's cabin this weekend. With Rob and Barb of course. This would be over the weekend so Jared could go too and it's in Hayward so would only be a 3 hour drive. He's not sure if he wants to go or not.

I did an offer on CashDuck the other week and when it came time to cancel, I was really getting the run-around from Sleep-Rite. This happens very rarely for me with CashDuck but I was in no mood at the time. The phone # you needed to call to cancel would sometimes play their automated message saying call back during business hours.....even during business hours. So as soon as I heard that I knew this place was gonna be a dick. So I called a bunch more times and found myself immediately sent to a voicemail for the operator where I could leave a message. WTF?? No queue to wait in for an actual person? Great. So I wasn't able to get ahold of anyone and cancel before my trial membership was up. So then the monthly membership fee of $34 shows up on our statement. I keep leaving messages for this place and noone calls me back. So, my messages are starting to get pretty snotty. Finally I take a chance emailing them. Usually these companies insist you cancel via phone so I hadn't tried that before. I email them and say my account needs to be closed and my card credited. 2 days later I get an email saying please call and speak to one of our representatives. GRRR. So I fire off a snotty email back saying something about how that's not possible considering I'm immediately dumped into a voicemail that noone returns messages from. I say some snotty things about their business policies, threaten contacting the Better Business Bureau and demand that I be credited! Then I see that they have a live chat option. I can't get it to work.  The next day I have another response saying I need to return the monthly shipment that has been sent (hadn't rec'd it yet) and then I would be refunded. I'm not waiting that long. I fire off another snotty email, call and leave a few more snotty voicemails, and then give the live chat another go. This time it works and the first person I start talking to immediately hands me offf to someone else ( I was pretty irritated and not about to get the shove off again) who is better trained to handle upset customers.....lol
This person closes my account and tells me my card will be credited within 2-3 days. Whew! Kind of ridiculous that it takes 2-3 days to credit but whatever. I had also received another email saying I needed to return the shipment and I would be refunded within 15 days. So finally I saw the credit on our statement earlier last week for $34. Then I received the shipment. Immediately returned to sender. Then Saturday I got a check in the mail for $34! You better believe I'm keeping it. After all the hassle that company put me through, and I imagine I'm not the only one, they can suck it. 
Then I was having issues getting credit for the offer on CashDuck!! Since the company never sent me a welcome email I had nothing to submit for credit. I did end up getting credited though. Thank goodness. I don't do many offers lately so when I do, I want the damn credit!! That was a $20 offer for pete's sake :)

Rob and Barb came over last night. We grilled up some steaks and corn on the cob. It was delicious. We also had some french silk pie. We also had several cocktails. We were celebrating that Rob just got a job and he got a new car! That kid's on his way I tell ya. 
Naturally, we played poker. I won again. I'm awesome. Jack went to bed at 7 and didn't wake up until about 3 minutes after I went to bed. 
Leah's coming over today. I think we'll stencil on some of the onesies that didn't get qite enough color from tie dyeing. I'm pretty excited that we got our business cards before the craft show we're going to be in next weekend. I thought we weren't going to get them for a few more weeks.  

Barb's stranded in Forest Lake so we're going to pack up and head over that way for a walk. Maybe go to the park too. Jack's excited to see his cousin Brooke. 

Jack's 10 months tomorrow!! We just got him a toothbrush and toothpaste. He's so funny. He'll only let me brush his teeth if I act super excited about it and praise him a bunch. I also have to pretend to brush mine. And sometimes Daisy's.

We have our 4K for Helping Paws tomorrow. I was all excited that it was in the morning and we'd still have the whole day ahead of us. Turns out it's not until 1! It'll be a scorcher by that time. Guess we'll have to slather on the sunscreen. Daisy's really excited too. She had better behave herself around all those other dogs. 

Leah and I tie dyed a ton more onesies. I'll post pics of those later. Some turned out so adorable. Some are going to need another color added to them. Or a graphic stenciled on or something. We'll see.

We're going for a walk around Lake Como this morning. Then I'm working at Nan's again. Tomorrow I think we'll be doing something with Barb and Brooke. Hopefully it will be nice out. Maybe a bike ride.
