I was so tired all day yesterday. Not sure why. I got a 2 hour nap but still went to bed at 8! 

My OB appt went well. I only gained 2 pounds in the last 2 weeks so that makes 3 pounds total for the last month. That makes 27 pounds total for this pregnancy so far! Yippee!!

Taking Daisy to the vet went ok. She needed a rabies shot. She was so scared she peed and pooped on the floor! Hopefully she's ok at that groomer's this Saturday :/ 

At nap time Jack cried on and off for 15 minutes and then went to sleep! I went in to wake him up at 2 and he had napped on the floor :/ 

After nap time Jack, Brooke and I went on a bike ride with my mom. We were just going to go to Cup 'N Cone but we stopped at a couple of garage sales. One of them was at Lizzie and Charlotte's house. My mom got another buggy for behind the bikes so now we could cart around Jack, Brooke, Keira and Simon! The new one she got is a little smaller so it'd be perfect for the younger two. Jack would fit in the smaller one too but it was too cramped for Brooke. I saw a pretty cool fire truck bed but they wanted $100 for it. There's a neighborhood sale 2 blocks down starting today. We're going there later this morning. We biked by yesterday and saw some of them setting up and I spied a Tonka Truck! :P

Jack ate his whole baby cone this time! He did so good. I think Brooke needs to start having baby cones too. I usually get her a small and I think it's too much for her. I had a Snickers malt and it was GOOD! I also had to swing by City Hall to get tabs for the Vue. We didn't even bike that much but man.....my butt hurts this morning. 

Jack went to bed with pretty much no fuss for Jared last night. He said he cried but only for a minute. I don't recall hearing him wake up at all during the night.

Jack was randomly saying "I love you Mama" to me all day yesterday. He must have said it a google times. It was pretty cute :o)

 Well the night before last wasn't a fluke. Jack's a champ when it comes to bedtime now. Thank god! Last night we read books for a while in the living room and then at 8:30 he asked to go "ni-ni". We brushed teeth and I put him in his bed and left. He cried on and off for about 15 minutes and there was some ruckus up there but then he went to sleep! I peeked in about an hour later and covered him up with his blanket. He was sleeping way up at the top of the bed on his pillow with his arm around Gary :P I heard him wake up at about 1:30 but he only cried for a minute and then went back to sleep. YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went in at 6:20 and he had a bunch of books in his bed too :P Now he's watching Handy Manny and happy as can be. 

Last night I watched Farmer Takes a Wife. Good grief that Josie is outside of her mind! I can't belive she waited around forever for a departing gift. What a wingnut. Those 2 that have been labeled "bible thumpers" are a piece of work too. 

We watched The Hills finale. I kind of figured that Heidi was going to blow that job and come home with Spencer. I think if LC were to watch a few of the episodes...she'd see that Lo has been kind of a snot to Audrina.

I have my OB appt at 8 and then I have to take Daisy to the vet at 10:15. I just have Brooke here today.

Jack's been sleeping on the chaise for an hour and a half now. He didn't even wake up when Daisy was barking when Brooke got here. 

He's big into putting things to bed lately. He takes his little Elmo blanket that my mom made for him and will cover us up, or his Elmo, or his sippy or whatever and say "g'night....seep type!". He was following Jenky around this morning trying to cover him up and saying "g'night....seep type!". 

Yesterday he slammed Jenky's tail in the porch door and Jenky yelped really loud and then took off with his tail all puffed out. I followed him and picked him up and was petting him. He lost a huge chunk of fur from his tail. I told Jack that he hurt Jenky. Then for like the next hour he was following Jenks around saying "I sorry Jenky!". It was really cute. 

We watched The Hills last night. What the hell is Lo's problem? She's being such a snot to Audrina!  Why is Stephanie such a pushover? I'd have kicked Spencer out a long time ago. I can't believe he's going to go to Vegas and crash Heidi's business meeting. What a tool.

We watched Beauty and the Geek too. I'm so glad Joe's gone. Seriously...why did he talk with his eyes closed so much??? Hey Napoleon Dynamite....open yer eyes! Such a weirdo. 

Hell's Kitchen was interesting. Matt is such a doofus. He needs to go. Rosann too. 

Lizzie and Charlotte aren't coming now. They're not feeling well so their mom is going to take them to the doc.

 There's snow on the ground! And it's still snowing. And it's supposed to snow all damn day. Not cool. We have our walk today. Last year for this walk we were wearing shorts and sunscreen. Lame. Amy and Jazzy are coming with us. Amy is a friend that Jared went to school with and Jazzy is her golden retriever who happens to be Daisy's mom. Now I'm really glad I wasn't planning on bringing Jack! Barb's coming over to watch him because Jared's going up to hang out with Amy's husband Brent for some stupid football crap :P  

Jack went to bed very easily last night and woke up once about 5:15 and went right back to sleep easily. I guess night before last was just a fluke. Thank god. He totally doesn't want his dad involved in any of the bedtime routine now! If Jared puts him in his jammies and brushes his teeth, he cries the whole time and says "mama do it!" and if he even thinks Jared will be putting him to bed he has a meltdown. He won't even kiss him goodnight anymore!?!?! Argh. Hopefully that'll change once he's used to his new big boy bed. He NEEDS to let his dad be a part of bedtime. Hopefully he'll nap for him today :/ Napping hasn't really been a problem though. 

I was pretty damn productive yesterday morning.

*went through and re-organized Jack's toys. Went through all the toys I got from my uncle the other day. Added some new-to-us toys and took out some "baby" toys. Thank you tat2whttrsh !! Jack LOVES his animal choo choo :o)
*vacuumed the upstairs and stairs
*moved the changing table and glider into our bedroom from Jack's room
*empited the dresser in our room and moved everything into the hallway cupboards so we could move the dresser to the basement
*dusted the living room
*swept and mopped the kitchen floor
*cleaned the bathroom
*set up a toddler mattress on the floor in Jack's room and folded up the 10 comforters he had been sleeping on
*organized the spare room again....made room for Jack's summer clothes to be down on the main floor
*bathed Jack and showered myself

Then in the afternoon I had Lizzie and Charlotte. We played outside for like 3 hours. It was really nice out. We played in the backyard for a while and then moved to the driveway to play with chalk. Jack was covered in chalk. It was pretty cute. Lizzie and Daisy had lots of fun chasing bubbles. Jack wasn't all that interested. Rob was planning on coming over after work to help Jared move the dryer in that we got the night before. Barb and Brooke came over at about 4:30 since we all decided to have dinner together. They brought Jack a new Curious George coloring book and little stuffed Curious George. Then the kids sat and colored outside at Jack's little picnic table for a bit.

Jared and Rob had a heckuva time getting the dryer through the doorway to the basement. They managed to make it work though after some unscrewing and some sawing! Now I get to do buttloads of laundry today! This morning it occured to us that there's still a load in the old dryer that's now out in the garage. Oops :/

Jack successfully napped on his "big boy" bed yesterday afternoon but bedtime was a whole different story. I kind of saw that coming though. I laid on the floor next to him and read him books and he held my thumb and fell asleep. But then he woke up like 3 times and I'm assuming it's because he scooched off of the mattress. So, I was getting sick of going in there and ended up just setting some of the bedding back up and sleeping on the floor next to his mattress until about 6am. Then I went to the bathroom and went back to bed in my bed until about 7. I went in to wake him and he was on the bedding I had used and not on his mattress :/ Plus, throughout the night....while I was in there....he scooched forward and towards me a few times. He's such a damn scoocher! He needs a headboard to run into. I'm going to try to get him to nap in the Dora toddler bed this afternoon that's already set up in his room. He has made it clear that he does not wish to sleep in that bed but it's been a while since we've tried. If this is unsuccessful....we'll swap the toddler mattress and the Dora bed.....they're on either sides of the room. He's used to scooching forward and to the south.....the Dora bed is in a little nook that has walls on each of the sides that he's used to scooching towards ....so maybe they would help him to stay on the mattress. We'll see.

Jack has been asking to snuggle lately. It's the cutest thing in the world! He says "nuggles?".

We had planned to go to Como Zoo tomorrow with Barb and Brooke in the afternoon but it's supposed to rain :(

There's still time to donate for the 7.5K walk Daisy and I are doing on Saturday! :o)

 Jack just saw the pic of himself on our desktop and said "oh, cute boy!". 
He's saying "thank you" ALL THE TIME now. Even when he takes something. 
I was in the bathroom this morning and he said "what doin Kiki?" 
Yesterday Rosie strolled into the room and he said "Oh hi Rosie, how's it goin?" He's back to saying "oh hi, how's it goin?" all the time again.
He now even says "bless you" when he sneezes.

We just finished having mango/banana Julius'. The kids (Brooke and Jack) LOVE when I run the blender. They stand in the kitchen and dance and squeal and say "do it again!" or as Jack says "dugan!". 

I'm tired a lot lately. I put Jack to bed last night and then went to bed myself and it was only like 9 o'clock. He woke up at 12:30 and went back to sleep quickly but woke up again at 2:30 and it took an hour for him to fall back to sleep. A couple of times I thought he was out and took my thumb away and he instantly sat up and cried. Oy. 

I've been slacking on my extra chores list. I've been getting all my other cleaning and chores done but nothing extra which is kind of frustrating. I don't know if it's pregnancy or just that fact that I'm doing daycare now but I feel like the house needs to be cleaned every other day. Especially the floor. That's mostly because of Daisy and her damn dirty feet though. We wipe her feet when she comes in from being outside but she still manages to get the floor dirty. Like when she drinks water out of her dish and then drips droplets all over the floor from her yap and then steps in them and the dried dirt on her feet turns to mud. I have to sit down now to wipe her feet. Crouching just aint for me these days. 

I did make a double batch of chocolate chip/butterscotch chip cookies yesterday thanks to my mom bringing me some flour :o) 

Jared gets to stop at Target tonight to pick up the wipes I left there this weekend :/ Doncha love paying for stuff and then leaving without it? He also gets to go to Cub because I didn't do a full trip this weekend. I spaced out a few things and also Jack was READY to come home and nap so I kind of cut the trip short. 

I want to nap today when Jack and Brooke are napping but I doubt that will happen. Brooke only naps for about an hour and it takes me a while to get in the zone to nap. I have Lizzie and Charlotte now for the rest of the week in the afternoons.  

We were going to get Jared's sister's wiener dogs this weekend but now we're not :( They decided to make other arrangements for them. It's probably for the best. They probably would have been tormented by the kids on Friday and with my luck it would be a rainy day and then I'd have 12 muddy paws to wipe over and over! That and I don't know what the barking situation would be like during naps. Still would have been fun to have them though. Maybe next time. 

I was just thinking yesterday how Jack hasn't been sick since I quit the Y. Then today he woke up with a runny  nose. For the love of mike. 

He keeps climbing into the chair and then scooching off of it facing forward (normally he would get out of a chair facing backwards) and landing on his feet and saying "that's funny!" but just now he did it and fell and landed on his head and said "whoa!". 

He was walking around this morning saying "love you, love you, love you!".

 

Jack and I ran some errands this morning. We went to Walmart, Target and Cub foods. Jared stayed home and picked up lots of dog crap in the backyard. He also figured out the picture situation on the compter.....sort of. He tried copying them to discs and that worked correctly. All the right pictures are in all the right folders. So he moved all the pictures and we just deleted all those extra ones. Then Jack napped and Jared did some yard work and put up our new mailbox. I cleaned all Jack's outdoor toys and when he woke up.....he had a pretty good time playing with them. We were going to go to this indoor park in New Brighton tomorrow with Rob, Barb and Brooke but it doesn't open until 11 so we squashed that idea.

Tomorrow is our 3 year anniversary! Jared's picking up Olive Garden and we're going to watch American Gangster. We party like rock stars! We also got The Assassination of Jesse James from Netflix so we'll prolly watch that this weekend some time. I read yesterday that Jay-Z and Beyonce are possibly getting married tomorrow. Great. Now we gotta share our anniversary with them :P

Our photos are still all jacked up :( I noticed last night that we have some old photos now that I know for a fact I deleted. WTF?? I did a system restore but I only went back a week and I know the pics weren't messed up like this 2 days ago so where'd all these old pics come from? Jared better figure it out this weekend :P

Jack says "bless you" now whenever someone sneezes. He also attempted to say Rosemary today for the first time. It came out Romay. He has been calling Charlotte "Lizzie" ever since they started coming over here but yesterday he was attempting to say Charlotte. It came out something like "Chawa". It's pretty cute. 

I finished the Taken series last night. It was pretty good but I'm looking foward to getting more movies from Netflix now. We're hoping to get American Ganster or 3:10 to Yuma for Friday. There's a wait on both so we may not get them this week unless we go to Blockbuster and rent them. We'll see.

I have Brooke, Lizzie and Charlotte today. Yesterday Lizzie and Charlotte had fun playing with the barbies. We played a few games of crazy 8's too. I got a 2-pack of card games at the dollar store and 1 of them was supposed to be a match game but I got 2 crazy 8's. I guess they could be used as a match game but still.....I was kinda bummed since Jack can't really participate in crazy 8's. I also got some flash cards for him that we played with a bit yesterday. There's 3 sets. 1 for colors, 1 for shapes, and 1 for numbers. He already knows his colors and shapes but it's good to practice and hopefully these will help him learn his numbers. We'll see. No big rush on that. Another thing I got at the dollar store is this pre-k Barney book. I hate Barney but Jack and that book are inseperable :/ He wanted it first thing this morning and was tearin the house up looking for it. 

Jack's favorite thing to do is mess with Daisy. Especially when all she wants to do is nap. So she just keeps getting up and moving to a new spot to lay down and then he follows her.

I got some really cool pirate fabric yesterday and Jack's robe material. Also picked out the fabric for Keira's quilt. It's going to be really cute. There was a Sesame Street egg coloring kit on sale so I got that too. Jack, Brooke and I colored eggs yesterday. I got that kit because it was Sesame Street and Jack was super excited about it but it turned out we were missing a sheet :( There should have been a sheet of cardboard ring things that look like the eyes of Elmo, Big Bird, Cookie Monster and Oscar the Grouch. We only got the sheet of stickers so you could put their mouths on but without the eyes.....it's kind of hard to tell who it is. Oh well. They still turned out pretty cute. I showed Jack and Brooke that you can write on the eggs with crayon first and they liked doing that. I got 1 picture of Jack doing that but the one 1 I got of Brooke was not good so I deleted it. It was kind of hard to take pictures during the whole process cuz they kept almost dropping/smashing eggs and spilling dye :/

Yesterday I had Brooke at 10:00 and Lizzie at 2:15. I got the rest of the cupboards clean and today I just need to do the rest of the drawers and I'll be done. I also need to vacuum. I already got the rugs in the wash and the kitchen floor clean.

This morning Jack was already asking "where's Brooke? Where's Lizzie?" :P They'll both be here this afternoon along with Charlotte. I wonder how many times he'll ask for them next week. They're on spring break so they won't be here. I'll have Brooke 3 days and that's it.

I should be getting the next batch of photos any day now so I'll want to get them in albums right away. I may need to get a new album.

Got some cute pics last night of the kids playing in the spare room and Jack being a cuddle butt. Also a few of my mom in her prom dress. They had a prom day at her work (Joann's) last weekend so some people wore prom dresses.

Jack, Daisy and I will be doing the Helping Paws Run & Romp walk again this year. I really like this walk because it's for a non-profit organization that breeds, raises and trains dogs to help people with physical disabilities. We went with my friend Leah last year and it was really fun. Daisy had a blast.

 I've been productive already. Hooray! I made muffins this morning, did dishes, did some laundry, cleaned the bathroom, vacuumed, cleaned the kitchen floor, boiled some chicken that I need to de-bone and just got back from taking Daisy on a nice long walk! It's so bright out! I was going to bring Jack too but I hate wrangling the stroller and the dog and the roads are still pretty snow covered. Fortunately, since we got up at 6 he was ready for his nap by 10 so that worked out well. That and Daisy hasn't been on a walk in a long long time so she needs some re-training before we start taking regular walks. Then it'll be easier to manage her and the stroller. 

Barb is dropping off some baby clothes today on her way to work. Yippee! I'm excited to go through them. Originally I had told her no rush on getting them to us but now I'm antsy to go through them and organize what we'll need out and what can go in tubs in the closet. The plan is for Jack to stay in his room and Keira will sleep in our bed at first. We'll see how good of a sleeper she is and how often she nurses at night before attempting to move her to her own room. I imagine it'll be a good 6 months before we're ready for that. That's how long Jack slept with us so we'll see. I don't plan to be schleppin' back and forth all night. Once she's ready for her own room, Jack will move to the spare room downstairs. There goes our spare room/storage room :( Oh well. Maybe that'll be the excuse we need to get rid of things and move more things to the basement. Still will be a drag though because Rob and Barb stay in that room when they stay over and Amy & Erik stay in that room when they're in town. 

Someone wants to come over today to look at Jared's car!! Yippee!! 

We watched The Good Shepard last night and we couldn't even watch the whole thing. Snoozeville!! I rarely turn a movie off in the middle. I always have to find out what happens no matter how bad it is and I just couldn't sit through this one. All talk, no action. It was pretty confusing too. Oh well. I should be getting Across The Universe from Netflix today. Hopefully it's good. 

We got quite a few things done this morning. I took Jack to the barber to get his hair cut, went to the salon to get my hair cut, then we all went to Target for various things, looked at Circuit City and Best Buy for a replacement battery cord for the laptop, Ace hardware for furnace filters, the bank, got gas and went out to lunch/breakfast at Perkins all before 12:30! Then Jack and I watched a movie, Jared did some laundry and bathed Daisy (thank god!). Jack looks so cute with his haircut. I need to post some pictures of it.
We looked at Target for replacement sponges for our soap dispensing kitchen sponge thing that stands up on the counter and they didn't have them. We looked there because Cub no longer stocks them. Target didn't have any so I looked online and I'm pretty sure the brand is Home Best but I couldn't find a single thing online from Home Best. WTF?? Did they just disappear? They still sell the original at Cub but the replacement sponges they sell now are cheap pieces of crap and fall off the damn thing within 2 days. I'm pretty pissed off because there aren't any other models that stand on the counter. What the hell am I supposed to do with it if it doesn't stand on the counter? Like I want a cup on the counter that it sits in. Argh. Amy & Erik can't even get them out in Seattle so I had to send them a bunch back around Christmas. I wish I would have bought more at the time!
We watched We Own the Night last night. It left us a little confused.
We just finished watching Survivor. Wow! I can't believe that dude got a bunch of people to vote Mary off and then he voted for Tracy!! Sheister! That was the stupidest move ever. They totally should have got rid of Chet. He did HORRIBLE. Dude can't swim and wasn't even phased by the fact that he took forfreakingever and wasn't bright enough to suggest he work on the puzzle instead of do the swimming. Tool. They had plenty of time to break up the lousy 2 person alliance of Mary and whatshisname. There was no need to do that now.
Things are heating up on Big Brother! Boston dude and Natalie getting freaky deaky and then Jen and Ryan in the shower!!
I just ordered this food and these dishes for Jack. He's going to love them! I want to find him a play kitchen at a garage sale this spring. I'm getting pretty antsy for garage sale season!!

Was Project Runway not on last night? I forgot to tivo it and now I can't find a replay of any that I haven't seen. We watched Moment of Truth last night. Ugh. Not a show I like to watch live. I'm so freakin annoyed with the long dramatic pauses. We watched the end of Deal or No Deal too. That show is so frustrating. People get so greedy they end up screwing themselves out of a pretty good chunk of money cuz they can't stop. If we ask Jack Deal or No Deal he says Deal!
I have Rosemary all day today and Brooke is coming at 1:30. I kind of want to paint some more onesies. I'll have to do it while Jack and Rosemary are napping and before Brooke gets here. We'll see. I really like the blue Simon and the train best. I might do some more with animals on them. All the onesies we painted at Amy & Erik's shower were bigger sizes and all of these are newborn size so he'll be able to wear them soon. I got to hear his little voice on the phone yesterday!!! I can't wait to hold him!!!

 Thanks to everyone that commented on my last post. It was locked up until today but now I've made it public. 

I took Jack to the doc yesterday because last week at the chiro, Dr. Mack said he had a large chunk of wax in his ear. I wanted to get it removed and make sure his ears were in good shape before we got on a plane. Good thing I went! Turns out he has a double ear infection!?!?!? I had no idea. He has been sick for over a week but the last few days he's been in good spirits so I never suspected an ear infection.....let alone 2. He was tugging at them a little but he does from time to time and it's usually (and was this time too) right after his baths so I figured he just had some water in there. So yea, he's on Amoxicillin for 10 days. Also, I skipped his 18 month appointment because I thought there were not shots. Oops. I was wrong. So I need to make an appointment for a month from now and he'll have it then and have his ears re-checked. He got weighed yesterday though and he's only 28 lbs.! I though for sure he was at least 30 by now. Dang. I was hoping to flip his car seat around. We have to wait until he's 33 lbs.

He's recently re-discovered his shades. He loves them. He puts them on hundreds of times a day and tries to put them on Daisy of course :P

He overheard Rob and Jared say Hi Kiki this weekend and he's been saying it ever since. It's really funny. I've been meaning to get a video of it. 
He's also started to give me kisses when I say Love you! It's adorable. 

I bet some oatmeal raisin/chocolate chip cookies that Amy would have her baby by the 15th. I was wrong. So I made them Sunday and packaged them up and they were all ready to be mailed yesterday. Then I realized it was MLK day. Doh! So they're being mailed today.
